Decorating Your Garden with Furniture

As the house shows the characteristics of the owner, the furniture mirrors the mood of the owner of the house. The way of choosing the furniture will greatly affect the overall performance of the house. Always try to suit the furniture with the theme of the house. Match the color, the theme, and the balance between outdoor and indoor interior, and your house will make you proud.

When you're decorating your garden with furniture, you must search for the suitable patio furniture, be it table, chairs, or picnic tables, or long chairs (chaise lounges) for those who loves to get a little sunburned beside the pool. In contrast, the owner can add garden umbrella or parasol in the chairs, so that the the owner is sheltered from direct sunlight in the daytime, providing shade from the sun. Modern patio furniture is commonly made from wood, steel, plastics, teak, aluminium, wicker, or wrought iron. In some cooler place, plastic furnitures are also used, but in area with higher sun light intensity, plastics furniture is not preferred.

Wooden furniture should be treated/maintained regularly, because of its vulnerability to rain, sunlight, or even fungus. Teak furniture contains silica, which is invulnerable to fungal decay, water, and chemicals. While aluminium is more long-lasting, but the protective coating somehow will likely corrode. Wicker outdoor furniture is made from plants' stems, usually palms. The palm stems are made interlocked each others, and crafted into various forms. Modern outdoor furniture usually made from synthetic resin, which is more long-lasting and cheaper in manufacturing cost.
